DESCRIPTION


This index comprises a series of indicators to measure the level of protection for the right to information across the globe. It aims to demonstrate the state of the right to information worldwide, the degree of development of each piece of individual legislation and its internal coherence, its trends and omissions, and areas such as the adequacy of institutions, the regulation of procedures, and the incorporation of criteria to regulate the administration of access to public information. A country specific index has also been developed for Mexico.
