Guidelines for Implementing ADB’s Second Governance and Anticorruption Action Plan (GACAP II) - Cascading Risk Assessment Approach

ORGANISATION

Asian Development Bank (ADB)

DESCRIPTION

This risk assessment approach ‘cascades’ from country, to sector, to programme/project level. The findings at each level inform the next level down. At the country level, it assesses the likelihood and seriousness of risk in three key areas: public financial management (PFM), procurement, and combating corruption. Once risks are identified, the next stage is to map whether and what action government is taking to address them, and whether that action will be sufficient.
